Oleksandr Usyk spent his time solving a maths puzzle during the press conference for his rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Usyk will touch gloves with Joshua for the second time at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia, which will be his first time defending the unified heavyweight titles. The Ukrainian has been in Saudi Arabia for a few weeks making his final preparations for the fight alongside Joshua, who will be looking to exact his revenge and regain his belts this weekend.
The Ukrainian star came face-to-face with Joshua at today's press conference just a day after performing a series of coin tricks during the open workouts yesterday. Now in his latest relaxation method, Usyk was seen completing a maths puzzle to focus his mind during the opening stages of the press event.
He was seen counting on his fingers while working it out, in addition to writing down the answers while his promoter Alex Krassyuk accepted the early questions from Eddie Hearn. This is not the first time Usyk has been spotted completing a puzzle having also followed a similar tactic during the press conference for his victory over Derek Chisora.
He also completed a sudoku puzzle during the press event for their maiden clash, before he picked up arguably the biggest victory in his professional career to date. When asked to speak he put down his puzzle and previewed the fight, telling the media: "It's very important for me, my team and my country.
"I'm really happy to be here, it's my third time in Saudi Arabia and I feel like I'm going to be here again and again. It's true, we learned about each other in the first fight, but I don't think this is the new bout, the last bout will be continued for round 13, 14, 15... however long it lasts.
"We've had enough time to study each other and this Saturday night will be a great, great fight. We were born to compete; for life, for belts, for everything. The one who does not compete does not leave. All of our lives are competitions, for something, for anyone, for somebody, that's why we're competing."

Joshua was more reserved during the press conference but pointed out his need to maintain discipline during the fight to secure his redemption. "It's a must win; I like the pressure," he said. "It's been tough, my team has pushed me and challenged me but mostly let's stay focused and get the job done and be victorious.
"I've got goals that I want to achieve in the ring on the night and I need to be disciplined to follow it through. The belts mean something but that's the target at the end and I'm focused on the process. I'm looking forward to it, I want to compete, I can't say much more but you have to have a competitive spirit and I'm looking forward to competing."
After the rivals stared each other down, Joshua departed the stage while Usyk led his team in a rousing rendition of what was presumably a Ukrainian folk song.
