Ole Miss’s Peyton Chatagnier manages to steal all the way home from first after opponent’s defensive lapses

Peyton Chatagnier is pretty opportunistic, if this recent NCAA baseball highlight is anything to go by.

As Major League Baseball continues its frustrating lockout, college baseball is still around to keep us entertained! And on Wednesday, Chatagnier gave Ole Miss fans something to talk about as he managed to steal all the way home from first base thanks to nearly unbelievable defensive lapses from opponent Alcorn State.

Chatagnier first was able to steal second, with the throw too high to catch him in time. Next, with no one covering third, Chatagnier stole 90 feet closer after a few seconds of biding his time. Then finally, Chatagnier stole home, as no one was covering home base while the Alcorn State defense was scrambling.

Sure, Chatagnier was opportunistic here and kept his head on a swivel to make smart plays to score a run to increase Ole Miss’s lead to 4-1, but this is Baseball 101, Alcorn State! A hilarious, but also very painful, lapse all around.

Chatagnier continued his big night later in the evening with a two-run home run out to deep left field too as the Ole Miss Twitter threw some more shade Alcorn State’s way.

Yeah, that one’s gonna sting for awhile.
