Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signing told to leave Man Utd because Erik ten Hag won't play him

Gus Poyet has urged Manchester United prospect Facundro Pellistri to quit the club for the good of his international career - because he fears Erik ten Hag will not play him.

The 20-year-old was snapped up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a £10million deal from Penarol back in 2020 following a recommendation from the Norwegian's ex-Old Trafford strike partner, Diego Forlan.

Pellistri was on the scoresheet in United's 4-0 win over Liverpool in pre-season, but he is yet to make a single senior appearance since making the switch from Uruguay to the Premier League. And Poyet is adamant that the winger's chances of featuring for United are now even slimmer with Ten Hag at the helm.
