Olaplex has responded to claims that it causes 'hair loss'.
The company is being sued by 28 women who claim its haircare products allegedly cause blisters, hair loss and other conditions, according to the BBC.
The brand's products claim to 'repair the broken bonds and rejuvenate hair' - but the lawsuit reportedly alleges that Olaplex uses harmful chemicals.

In an Instagram statement, which said 'FACT: OLAPLEX does not cause hair loss', the company added: "We want to reassure our community of Professional stylists, customers and fans that they can continue to use our products with confidence.
"To demonstrate this, we have publicly released test results from independent third-party laboratories, going above and beyond industry standards.
"We are prepared to vigorously defend our Company, our brand, and our products against these baseless accusations."
The BBC report the lawsuit was filed last week in a Californian district court and claims the plaintiffs "have lost their hair - in some cases more than half and leaving bald spots in others".
The lawsuit also reportedly alleges their hair was left "dry, brittle, frizzy and dull" and claims "the hair has split and broken, causing it to look unkept and as if it were cut with a weedwhacker".
The plaintiffs are reportedly collectively seeking more than $75,000 in damages.
Olaplex again denied the claims made in the lawsuit in a statement to The Independent.
It said its “products are safe and effective, as millions of our customers can happily attest”.
“We have full confidence and believe in the safety and efficacy of our products...
“There are a wide variety of reasons for hair breakage or hair loss, as medical and scientific experts have publicly stated, including lifestyle, various medical conditions and medications, the aftereffects of COVID, skin conditions and more.
"Anyone experiencing consistent hair breakage should consult their stylist and dermatologist to best understand their unique hair and skin needs," the statement read.
They later continued: "We are prepared to vigorously defend our Company, our brand, and our products against these...accusations."
