Ola Electric opens first batch of dealer-led stores, targets 500+ outlets

Ola Electric on Friday launched its first batch of dealer-operated stores across seven states, marking a shift from its earlier company-owned retail model as the electric two-wheeler maker looks to expand its reach across India. The company is targeting a network of more than 500 dealerships over the next couple of quarters.

The first cohort of partner-led stores is now operational across cities and towns in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The development comes less than a month after Ola Electric opened its sales and service network to dealer partners on August 6. The company had operated a fully company-owned retail network since launching its first electric scooter five years ago.

Ola Electric said the dealer-led model will help it deepen its presence in regional markets, improve accessibility to its products and enable faster customer response across geographies.

Its existing company-owned stores will gradually transition into brand product experience centres, it said.

"That foundation is now set. The establishment of a dealer-led network is a strategic move that takes our product ecosystem deeper across every corner of India," said Manoj Murali, chief business officer, Ola Electric.

Tts S1Z range starts at Rs 79,999 and expects its partner network to play a key role in expanding electric vehicle adoption among Indian households.

Ola Electric has built a customer base of more than 1 million electric two-wheeler riders through its company-owned retail network.
