Electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electric said on Tuesday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Ola Cell Technologies, has received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for its indigenously developed 46100 lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell, per BSE filings.
The company claimed that it is the first Indian company to secure BIS certification for an indigenously developed cell in the 46100 cylindrical format, marking a key milestone in its battery manufacturing efforts.
