Oklahoma police officer and wife accused of stealing $74,000 from 82-year-old man and spending it on concerts and cruises

An Alva, Oklahoma, police officer, Andrew McVicker, 28, and his wife, Abbigale McVicker, 24, were arrested Saturday, Aug. 29, after being accused of exploiting an 82-year-old man and allegedly stealing more than $74,000 to fund a cruise, concert tickets and other luxury splurges.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) led the investigation, booking both individuals on felony charges of exploitation of an elderly person and conspiracy. The case highlights a severe breach of public trust, as a sworn law enforcement officer allegedly used legal mechanisms, including power of attorney, to systematically drain a vulnerable senior’s life savings.
