Following a coin flip, the Oklahoma City Thunder will enter the 2023 NBA draft lottery with the 12th-best odds.
The Thunder lost a coin flip against the Chicago Bulls. Both teams finished 40-42 and went 1-1 in the play-in tournament. The Bulls won the 11th-best lottery odds, which has a 3% chance of earning the No. 1 pick.
The Thunder’s season concluded with a play-in loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, which means they’d enter the draft lottery due to not advancing to the playoffs as the eighth seed.
The Thunder have a 1.7% to win the No. 1 pick. If the Thunder stays at the No. 12 spot following the lottery, it’ll be the second consecutive draft they’ll own that pick. They selected Jalen Williams in last year’s class.
The draft lottery is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 16.
