The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Sunday that they have assigned Vit Krejci to its G League affiliate — the Oklahoma City Blue.
Krejci has appeared in three games this season, totaling two points and three rebounds. In 13 games with the Blue, Krejci has averaged 6.8 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Krejci suffered an ankle injury in late December with the Blue and has been rehabbing the injury since. This explains why the 21-year-old was listed on the injury report with a right ankle sprain during his entire time with the Thunder. With this assignment, it’s safe to assume Krejci is ready to return and will go back to playing heavy G League minutes.
Krejci was drafted 37th overall in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft. Krejci spent all of his rookie season rehabbing a torn ACL he suffered in September 2020.
