Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault gave injury updates to the team’s two best players in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey.
Gilgeous-Alexander, who has been dealing with a sore right ankle for over a week, was limited in practice on Thursday with Daigneault mentioning that his ankle continues not to respond well to treatment. Gilgeous-Alexander has missed two of the last three games, both against the Orlando Magic, due to this injury.
Giddey, who has been out for basically the entire second half of the season sans the first game after the All-Star break, has been dealing with a sore hip. Giddey was also limited in practice on Thursday.
The Thunder only have nine games left in the regular season, so the team will likely proceed with caution when it comes to allowing either of them to return for the final few weeks.
