The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Monday that they have assigned Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to its G League affiliate — the Oklahoma City Blue.
With the Blue playing an afternoon game at Paycom Center and the Thunder playing a night game at Paycom Center, I expect this to be a situation where Robinson-Earl plays for the Blue and then gets recalled and in uniform before the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Thunder have previously used this method before for other players.
Robinson-Earl has averaged 7.1 points and 5.8 rebounds in 44 games this season for the Thunder. The second-rookie rookie has started in 36 of those games as a stretch four/five.
