The Ohio State Buckeyes women’s hockey team is bringing home a National Championship trophy after defeating Minnesota Duluth 3-2. The game-winning score game from Kinzie Hauswirth with six minutes and 40-seconds left remaining in the contest and that shot etched her name in history as this marks the first National Championship in Ohio State women’s hockey history.
The Buckeyes finished the historic season with a 32-6 record and head coach Nadine Muzerall has transformed this women’s program into a national force, which isn’t surprising given her impressive resume. I don’t know much about hockey, but this program looks built to last under the guidance of Muzerall.
