The Ohio State women’s basketball team is on a tear, having won 13 in a row and grabbing sole possession of first place in the Big Ten with just three regular season games to go. The Buckeyes have a two-game lead on Iowa and Indiana and can clinch at least a share of the conference title with a win vs. Maryland at home on Sunday.
Lose though, and things tighten up and with a potential massive clash with the Hawkeyes at the end of the season. In other words, take care of business today against the ‘Terps and make things easier coming down the road as a potential No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament.
Maryland has had some mixed results this season and would love nothing more than to knock off the Buckeyes in their place, and you can bet OSU will get its best shot. As an added bonus, OSU will be recognizing its seniors on Sunday, so there’s that as well.
