In a very cool opportunity, Ohio State women’s basketball forward, Cotie McMahon, has been invited to participate in the Team USA U10 World Cup team trials for 2023. It’s the second straight year McMahon has had the opportunity to compete for a spot on Team USA. She represented the U18 team that won the Women’s Americas championship in June of last year.
The team trials are set to begin on Friday, and you have to think that the reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year has a more than decent chance of making the squad. She averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.4 rebounds during 29.1 minutes of action this past season. A season in which she helped Ohio State reach the Elite 8 before falling to Virginia Tech.

We’ll keep you posted on how McMahon does and if she makes her way onto the team wearing the red, white, and blue. We like her chances.
