It has been one of the most unpredictable years for Ohio State in terms of recruiting than any we’ve seen before. There have been commits and decommits along with rumors of NIL money or lack thereof. It all leaves coaches and fans looking for what’s next.
Brock Glenn was the only quarterback recruit committed in the 2023 class for the Buckeyes. Then he spurned the Bucks with a decommitment a week before the Michigan game and pledged his allegiance to Florida State, leaving OSU without a QB in the class.
Well, it seems like Ryan Day may be getting an upgrade, at least in terms of rankings. Ohio State began pursuing Lincoln Kienholz out of Pierre, South Dakota, after Glenn’s departure. Kienholz is currently committed to the Washington Huskies and comes in as a four-star prospect and the No. 14 ranked quarterback in the class.
After putting on the full-court press to persuade the young man to head east, the Buckeyes have received three crystal ball predictions to flip Kienholz from Washington to Ohio State.

This would certainly fill a void in the 2023 recruiting class for Ryan Day and things are looking favorable for the Buckeyes. We’ll keep you posted when and if Kienholz makes a decision to flip to Ohio State.
