Now that the Ohio State football season is officially over, the Buckeye coaching staff is diligently working on the next crop of recruits to wear the scarlet and gray. After signing a top 10 class in 2023, the Bucks have a good start to the 2024 class.
OSU got some good news on the defensive side of the ball when Kristopher Jones, the No. 9 linebacker in the class according to 247Sports composite rankings has included Ohio State in his first cut. Joining the Buckeyes on the short list are Florida, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
Recruitment still 100% open but these are the schools that I’ll be focusing on moving forward #gobucks🌰 #WeAre #geauxtigers #goblue #gohokies #goterps #OUDNA #gogators #godawgs #gbo #gohoos #goirish☘️ @bnbgraphics @TAscension pic.twitter.com/5WYhepqLc6

This still feels early in the race and clearly there are many teams still in good standing with Jones. No one can argue, the list is quite large, but these kids get a great deal of offers, so the fact that Jones is cutting it down means he is taking his options seriously.
We’ll keep an eye on this one as things continue to develop.
