Unfortunately for Ohio State Football, it’s become all too common for a star player to get injured.
Last year it was Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and although Marvin Harrison Jr. toughed it out against Maryland, he was hobbled the week prior with an ankle injury even if it didn’t look like he was.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsEmeka Egbuka was injured while playing against the Terrapins and on Tuesday Buckeye head coach Ryan Day updated his status. He told the media that Egbuka’s injury isn’t long term, but that is extremely vague. As Dave Biddle put it, if you take what Day said, it doesn’t seem like the junior will play this weekend.
Ryan Day says Emeka Egbuka's injury is not long-term. (Reading between the lines, I'll be very surprised if EE plays this week.)

There is a silver lining to potentially missing Egbuka this weekend against Purdue: Some of the younger receivers such as Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss and Jayden Balland will get extended looks.
