Ohio State freshman receiver Bryson Rodgers sheds black stripe

Black stripe alert! The Ohio State football team officially welcomed another member to the Brotherhood on Tuesday when freshman receiver Bryson Rodgers shed his black stripe.

Rodgers comes to Columbus via Florida. The Sunshine State has become a bit of a pipeline when it comes to Buckeye football. A four-star recruit out of Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel, Rodgers was only ranked as the No. 43 receiving prospect in the nation. But when Brian Hartline sees something he likes at the receiver position, you don’t question it.

Somewhat slight of frame but excellent hands have some reminding Rodgers of a young Chris Olave. That three-star prospect seemed to turn out okay.

Playing time will be hard to come by this season with a loaded receiving room, but if Rodgers will be patient and wait his turn, he could be another underrated star in the making.

An offer for Buckeyes fans
