The first full day of camp is in the books for Ohio State football and one of the first questions asked was in regard to the quarterback situation. Most experts and even fans expect incoming Kansas State transfer, Will Howard, to be the starter come opening day, but I think we all have a tiny bit of doubt hanging over our head and are waiting for clarity.
Buckeye head coach, Ryan Day, was asked a question in regard to the timeline for an announcement and he responded, “How that shakes out, I’m hoping that happens in the first week to 10 days.”
I think it is fair to assume that Day and his staff already have a strong indication of who will be taking the first snap against the Akron Zips, but hearing him say it would make most fans feel much more at ease.
After Day 1, Ohio State coach Ryan Day praised QB Will Howard for the work he put in this offseason. "He got challenged (to change his body). He looks different, he's moving different. He worked hard on that, changed his diet, changed his workout plan and dedicated himself."

We’ll stay close to the quarterback situation as things progress. After all, it’s the main question everyone wants to know.
