Ohio State basketball will host 2025 five-star Michigan guard this fall

It’s been a stark contrast in recruiting styles for Ohio State basketball since Jake Diebler was hired to take over for Chris Holtmann.

The new Buckeye coach has brought in a great first transfer class, which included two former 5-star prospects in center Aaron Bradshaw and power forward Sean Stewart.

There is plenty of potential for the 5-stars to keep ending up in Columbus, as 2025 Michigan shooting guard, Trey McKenney, has set up a visit for the weekend of October 26 according to 24/7 High School Hoops. He’s one of the top prospects in the nation, ranking as the No. 15 overall player in his class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6-foot, 4-inch, 225-pound star would pair well at the position with current guard commit Dorian Jones. Diebler has shown that he can reel in the big fish, and the Buckeyes hope that’s the case again with McKenney.
