The Ohio State basketball program officially announced the addition of former Oklahoma State guard Isaac Likelele on Monday.
With so much change and departure from the program because of graduation NBA moves, and transfer portal departures, the Buckeyes have been very active in the transfer portal themselves this offseason. Guard has been a spot that was significantly thin because of guys like Malaki Branham, Meechie Johnson, and Jamari Wheeler moving on from the program.
To address the need for more ball-handlers, Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann and staff went out and lured transfers Tanner Holden, Sean McNeil, and Isaac Likekele. And while there was little chance of the last of those falling through, the program officially announced the addition in a tweet from the Ohio State Hoops Twitter account.
🧊 Welcome to Buckeye Nation Ice‼️
Isaac Likekele officially joins Ohio State after spending the last 4 years at Oklahoma State where he became the only player in program history to accumulate 1,000+ points, 600+ rebounds, and 400+ assists. pic.twitter.com/mesTJkyKla

Likekele should provide some immediate help for Ohio State. He is a veteran and versatile player that can play the point guard position or swing to the forward spot if needed. He accumulated over 1,000 points, more than 600 rebounds, and over 400 assists in his time in Stillwater, and should be able to build upon that this winter.
Welcome to Buckeye Nation Isaac. We can’t wait to see what you bring to the banks of the Olentangy for the 2022-2023 season.
