If you are into some summer basketball with former Ohio State greats on the court, then we’ve got some news for you. According to an announcement on the team’s Twitter account on Wednesday, Carmen’s Crew will be back in action for the 2022 TBT (The Basketball Tournament).
It wasn’t a great showing for the No. 1 seed of the Columbus Region last year. The Ohio State alumni team made up mostly of Thad Matta era former players won its first game but lost in the round of 16 against after blowing an 18-point lead to fall by two points to The Money Team.
It’ll be Carmen’s Crew’s 6th straight appearance in the TBT, with the team taking home the $2 million winner-take-all prize as the champion of the 2019 tournament.

It is unclear which players will participate on this year’s team, but you can likely expect more changes than what we’ve seen in the past. Both Jake Diebler and Aaron Craft are moving on based on comments made last year, so it’ll be interesting to see how those holes are filled.
The host sites, dates, times, and rosters will all come at a later date, and we’ll have more when we get more details.
