The Ohio State football team is back in action this Saturday after a week off from games. Nebraska will head east to Columbus for another Big Ten showdown. The Buckeyes have little room for error after taking one on the chin in Eugene against Oregon.
As the team prepares for the Huskers, social media posts have been made requesting fans in attendance to wear Scarlet to the game in what’s being called “Scarlet the Shoe.” Could this mean something more?
In the past, when fans have been asked to wear a specific color for the game, it has coincided with an alternate uniform. “Black out the Shoe” saw OSU in its all-black uni. Could a “Scarlet the Shoe” indicate the Buckeyes will be wearing the all-red ensemble?

The one and only time Ohio State has worn the all-scarlet color rush uniform was on Oct. 30, 2021, when the Bucks hosted Penn State for a night game. OSU came out on top of that one by a score of 33-24. There has been no official word an alternate uniform will be worn, but it just makes you wonder…
