Ohio State football and its recruiting efforts have been stellar so far this cycle, but you can’t get them all to go your way, not even close. After already landing some pretty highly-touted defensive backs, the Buckeyes had one main priority left to put a bit of a bow on the secondary for the 2025 class, and it was 5-star cornerback Dorian Brew.
Unfortunately for OSU in this case, the target committed elsewhere, the Oregon Ducks in fact, a program that’s been on a pretty good role in nabbing prospects as of late. Brew is ranked as the No. 5 cornerback and 27th overall prospect in the class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Out of Conroe, Texas, but with Ohio ties, you have to wonder if the haul Ohio State already has in the defensive backfield was a factor. Either way, the Buckeyes are still more than fine in the back-end of the defense for 2025, but it sure would have been nice to put a cherry on top.
