Ohio has confirmed 228 measles cases in 2026, according to Ohio Department of Health figures reported Thursday by Cleveland 19 News. That is about five times the state's 2025 total of 45 cases and far above the seven cases Ohio recorded in all of 2024.
Geauga County now has the most cases at 50, followed by Wayne County at 45 and Ashtabula County at 41. Tuscarawas, Harrison, Holmes and Trumbull counties each report between eight and 13 cases. Smaller counts appear in Franklin, Knox, Meigs, Cuyahoga, Gallia, Morgan, Portage and Ottawa counties.
