Oh hype intensifies as Celtic striker tipped to be man Jurgen Klinsmann builds South Korea around

A South Korea hero has urged Jurgen Klinsmann to build his side around Celtic star Oh Hyeon-gyu, ahead of the German icon's visit to see him at Kilmarnock on Sunday.

Former Germany and USA boss Klinsmann will travel to Ayrshire to watch Kilmarnock face the Hoops as part of his European tour to watch and meet with his players, after he took charge of South Korea in February. The ex-Bayern Munich and Spurs striker will visit Rugby Park along with his No.2 - former Israel manager Andreas Herzog.

And South Korean hero Seo Jung-won, who scored one of their country's most famous goals when he netted an equaliser against Spain in the 2-2 draw in the 1994 World Cup and won 88 caps for his country - reckons Oh is the future of South Korean football. Seo, who was in charge of Oh's former club Suwon Samsung Bluewings and is now manager of Chinese club Chengdu Rongcheng - said: "When I see how players like Oh Hyeon-gyu are progressing, I do feel the future of football in this country is really encouraging.

"Oh was full of confidence as a player when he was in South Korea and he seems to have adapted very well to Celtic and Scottish football. Players like him seem to be improving and he is going to be a very big player in coach Klinsmann's plans for sure.
"I thought Oh was very unlucky to miss out on the World Cup. He deserved his move to Europe and it seems to be working out for him.

"He is still very young at 22 and has the potential to be a player that we can build our team around in the future years."
