UK energy price cap forecast to soar to £2000 by January – as bills rise today

Household energy bills further pressure as a 4 per cent increase to Ofgem’s price cap takes effect on Thursday, alongside warnings that costs could surge by nearly £300 a week from January.

Given the severity of the forecasts, campaigners have urged the Government to prepare urgent plans to support all households with energy bills this winter.
