Official construction management group selected for Jaguars’ Shipyards and Four Seasons Project

On Friday, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Iguana Investments announced that PCL Construction has been named the construction manager for the Shipyards development project. As Jacksonville citizens are aware, that includes the Four Seasons Hotel Jacksonville, which is scheduled to break ground later this year along the St. Johns River.

The project, which was laid out back in June of last year, is estimated to cost $321 million.

“With today’s announcement of PCL joining our slate of development partners, the Jaguars and Iguana Investments are marking a major milestone in the Shipyards’ project,” Jaguars senior vice president, real estate and development Drew Fick said in a release. “With a full team now in place, we’ve fully transitioned from concept to execution. The partners we’ve assembled are world-renowned and have extensive experience. Our Northbank riverfront is in good hands.”

PLC Construction has been involved with Four Seasons projects in the past around the world and in America. One of their projects includes the Four Seasons Hotel of Toronto, which Jags owner Shad Khan purchased in 2016. They’ve worked on several projects in Florida, too, like the JW Marriott Bonnett Creek Hotel in Orlando.

In addition to the Four Seasons Hotel, the plan is to build an office tower and marina upgrades nearby. According to multiple reports, Phase 1 of the project could be completed as soon as 2025.
