Ian Evatt believes Kieran Lee is a 'great example' for the rest of his Bolton Wanderers squad to learn from ahead of taking on the midfilder's old club Sheffield Wednesday who he knows will be a tough test.
Lee played for Wednesday for some eight seasons after joining the club from Oldham Athletic in the summer of 2012. He went on to become a fans' favourite for the Owls and racked up 217 appearances and found the back of the net 22 times during his time at Hillsborough.
The 34-year-old departed in the summer of 2020, before joining Wanderers in early 2021. He has gone on to become a key experienced player for Evatt.

The midfielder was reunited with his old side last season when he played against the Owls at Hillsborough as Wanderers slipped to a 1-0 loss. He missed the return fixture at the University of Bolton Stadium owing to injury.
Evatt has commended the veteran for his fitness and influence within the Wanderers dresssing room with the character he has and his ability as a player. The Whites boss knows it will be a tough test to take on Darren Moore's side with their strong recruitment this summer and hopes the big crowd Wanderers will have on their side helps his team achieve a positive result.
Evatt told the Manchester Evening News : “Kieran never stops. His fitness data is off the charts. He is a quiet, quiet lad but when he speaks people listen and he’s really funny with it.
“Technically he is a very good player. He knows what is required and he is a great example to learn from.
“It’ll be tough, they have recruited well and they have players with experience of being successful in this division. They are a strong and powerful team, really powerful, and they have quality in there as well like little Baz (Barry Bannan) who I played with at Blackpool. They will be smarting after Tuesday but no doubt Darren will get a reaction out of them.
“They will have a big away following but I hope we can get as many fans in here as possible to out-sing them. We talk about those marginal gains, having that noise will help us."
