- Ofcom has launched an official investigation into Channel 4 's dating series Married at First Sight UK following a "fairness and privacy" complaint.
- The complaint follows a Panorama report earlier this year which included allegations from two female contestants of rape by their assigned partners, and a third alleging a non-consensual sexual act.
- All men involved have denied the allegations, and a former cast member was recently arrested on suspicion of rape, currently out on bail.
- Dame Melanie Dawes, Ofcom's chief executive, previously stated that the Panorama allegations raised "really serious concerns" for the regulator.
- Channel 4 is conducting its own welfare review, and an already-filmed 11th series of the show is currently on hold with its future undecided.
