Odsonne Edouard admits he needs to hit the Crystal Palace goal trail sooner or later as the Celtic favourite goes through a barren spell in front of goal.
Patrick Viera's Premier League side are yet to win in 2023 on top flight business and so far this term, his French striker has scored just three times in 20 matches. Edouard joined Crystal Palace last season in the early stages of Ange Postecoglou's reign and has netted 11 times in 53 outings, a far cry from 87 in 179 while at Parkhead., and not finding a goal in league business since October.
There's no fear of a relegation battle quite yet but speaking to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old admits he needs to buck up his own ideas. He said of his own: "It's not how I would want. I need to score more goals and get more assists, but sometimes it is hard. I just have to keep working to help the team. This moment is hard, especially for a striker, but ,you can never give up. All you can do is work hard but I think I just need to score one goal and that's it. But I'll keep working.
"We will keep working and I think we need to improve. We haven't won this year so far. We are not happy with our position but we just need to try and win more points. We work hard every day to perform on the weekend, and win football matches. We don't score enough and we need to improve in every aspect of the game. We need to be stronger defensively, have more balance in the midfield and have more chances to score."
