Patrick Vieira has insisted Odsonne Edouard and his fellow Crystal Palace peers has to change his 'mindset' in order to get amongst the goals needed for survival.
The former Celtic striker hasn't scored for the Londoners in the English Premier League since October last year and Vieira's side have failed to net in their last four outings. Palace are currently in 12th position in the league but only three points above the relegation zone. They are yet to win in 2023 with their last victory coming on December 31 away at fellow strugglers Bournemouth.
Arsenal legend Vieira who saw his side fall to a 1-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion last night, has challenged his forward thinking players to be more 'aggressive going forward' in order to end their goal drought and reverse the slump they find themselves in. Speaking after the loss, the French legend said: "I'm concerned about scoring goals. When I look at the team performance and looking at the work ethic and our organisation and how the players execute our plan, I was pleased with that.
"The worry I have is that when you create those opportunities but you don't take them of course, you start to be worried about that. We have to score those goals.
"The players, especially those front players, have to change their mindset. We have to be more aggressive going forward.
"We have to be more aggressive in the last third. I'm not going to stop putting the pressure on that I'm putting on them at the moment until we get we want."
