Former Celtic talisman Odsonne Edouard has been relegated to the fringes of the Crystal Palace squad after his latest snub against Leeds.
Following his summer switch, Edouard netted twice on his debut for the Selhurst Park side as he emerged from the bench late on to put Tottenham to the sword.
However, since then things have not worked out for the Frenchman.
Edouard has found the net just nine times in all competitions and Patrick Vieira looks to now be assessing his attacking options.
The 24-year-old was handed a surprise start in the defeat to Newcastle, but failed to find the net again.
It was first run out from the start since February when he was given the nod ahead of Jordan Ayew, Christian Benteke and Jean-Philippe Mateta against Brentford.
However, on Monday night he was bombed out of the line-up during the goalless draw with the Yorkshire side.
Vieira opted for veteran Benteke rather than the former Celtic forward.
The Palace boss has admitted that he has changed the demands he is placing on his frontmen in recent weeks - and that could mean a dramatic change in Edouard's play style.
He said last month: “I'm going to change regarding what I want from the striker and what I need from that game.
“Of course, I'm going to take into consideration the player's form as well - how they have been training, how they play. There is competition and I will be fair to them about who I will choose to play."
And since then, Edouard has mainly featured off the bench.
The Frenchman enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Celtic Park before brining the curtain down on his Scottish Premiership spell in last summer.
Despite a disappointing final season in Glasgow's east end, Edouard still netted 22 goals in all competitions.
