BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government has joined others in opposing the Union government’s plan to curtail the states’ say in central deputation of IAS and IPS officers, raising serious concern regarding the outcome of such a move.
Responding to the Department of Personnel and Trainings (DoPT) January 12 letter to the state about its plan to amend Rule 6 (deputation of cadre officers) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules 1954, the state general administration department on Monday made its opposition clear, a senior government official told TOI on Tuesday.
