With the recent success of new Star Wars series like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, Disney has another story coming to our screens soon, featuring one of the franchise’s most recognisable characters.
'Obi-Wan Kenobi' will show us a new chapter in the life of one of Star Wars’ greatest heroes and will see Ewan McGregor return to a role he first played in “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” at the age of 28.
In a move that is bound to prove interesting to Star Wars fans, it has also been confirmed that the new show will see Hayden Christensen return as Darth Vader.

The character of Obi-Wan Kenobi was first portrayed by Alec Guinness in Star Wars Episode IV, where Princess Leia famously told him, “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.”
What to expect from the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi?
While plot tips are thin on the ground, Disney’s official press release tells us that, “The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”
When will Disney+ release the new series of Obi-Wan Kenobi?
The new Star Wars original series will debut exclusively on Disney+ on May 25, 2022.
