Well, the rumours are true. Just weeks after it was widely speculated that Oasis will be heading Down Under as part of their long-awaited reunion tour, the band has officially announced their Australian dates for their Oasis Live ’25 Tour.
The British rockers announced that they’d be making the trip to Australia to perform two shows: Melbourne on October 31 and Sydney on November 7, 2025.
The pre-sale registration is now open, and scheduled to close on Wednesday, October 9. You can find it HERE.
The general public sale will go live on Tuesday 15, October at 10am AEDT for Melbourne and 12pm AEDT for Sydney.
In the lead-up to the announcement, sources speaking to Rolling Stone Australia confirmed Oasis would be performing a two-date run of Australian shows slated for October and November of next year.
The “Wonderwall” singers will kick off the Aussie jaunt with an initial show at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Friday, October 31. According to the leak, the next date is booked for Sydney’s Accor Stadium a week later on Friday, November 7.
If demand is high enough for those two initial shows (who are we kidding, it will be), sources say the Gallagher brothers will fill out the week-long gap with additional Aussie tour stops, and perhaps an extended run after the Sydney date.
The band added more dates in the UK after those tickets sold like hotcakes, so it’s safe to assume the same might happen for their legions of Aussie fans.
Rolling Stone reports that the band will officially announce the Australian dates for their 2025 reunion tour next week on Monday, October 7, so let us revel in all that potential for a brief moment.
The leak comes one week after the rumour mill was already churning with anticipation around a potential visit, with reports circulating at the time that Oasis had added Australia, Asia and the US to their tour schedule, which at first only included shows for Ireland and the UK.
Now, it looks like it will extended beyond Noel and Liam Gallagher‘s homeland and become a bonafide worldwide jaunt, with shows since slated for Mexico, Canada and North America.
News of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour is made all the more exciting for the fact that it will mark the the brothers’ first time performing together live since 2009 (!). They’ve spent the time in between engaged in a much-publicised feud, but have seemingly put that aside to perform the upcoming reunion shows.
The tour got off to a rocky start in August for UK and Irish fans, who complained en masse after scalpers listed tickets for an excess of AUD $12,000. The duo later promised fans that any “tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be cancelled”.
If the leaks around Oasis’ 2025 Australian tour are to be believed, then I better get cracking on singing “Wonderwall” at every karaoke bar I pass over the next 12 months.
