New Zealand's High Court has quashed a conviction and multimillion-dollar payments from the owners of the offshore volcano Whakaari which erupted in 2019, killing 22 people.
The volcano, also known as White Island, was a popular tourist attraction until the deadly blast six years ago, which claimed the lives of 14 Australians.
