The New York Police Department has announced plans to clear an encampment set up by pro-Palestine protesters at City College of New York. The NYPD has been in communication with college officials and is expected to take action before 5 pm ET on Thursday.
According to a law enforcement official, similar encampments have been popping up at universities nationwide, leading to the arrest of hundreds of protesters. The encampments are part of a larger movement in support of Palestine that has gained momentum in recent weeks.
