The New York City Police Department resumed their search in Central Park on Monday in connection to the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Officers, along with K-9 dogs, were seen scouring a section of the park for potential evidence.
During the search, a gray backpack believed to be linked to the suspect was found in Central Park on Friday. Inside the backpack, authorities discovered a jacket and what appeared to be Monopoly money.
However, the firearm used in the crime was not located in the bag. This discovery led police to deploy dive teams to search the waters surrounding Central Park in hopes of finding the missing weapon.
The investigation into the murder of Brian Thompson continues as law enforcement officials work diligently to gather evidence and piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.
