As tensions rise in New York City, the New York Police Department officers in riot gear have been deployed outside Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus. The officers are currently stationed to monitor a gathering of dozens of protesters on the nearby sidewalk.
The protesters, standing behind barricades, are chanting slogans and waving Palestinian flags. One of the recurring chants heard is 'Free, free Palestine,' as the demonstrators stand arm in arm in a show of solidarity.
