A New York City renter posted a TikTok breaking down her monthly Con Edison bill, line by line. She pointed to each charge on screen, and the numbers did not sit well with her.
The renter, who goes by Bronxie, said her electricity use came to $191 for the month. She lives in a three-bedroom apartment with an Energy Star washer, dryer, and boiler. The heat stayed off since it was still warm. Her gas bill sat at just $5, mostly for cooking and hot water.
