NY Sugar Little Changed on Expiration of May Sugar Futures

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK23) on Friday closed unchanged, and Aug London white sugar #5 (SWQ23) closed down -8.50 (-1.18%).

Sugar prices Friday settled mixed.  Friday's rally in the dollar index to a 1-week high weighed on sugar prices.  NY sugar was little changed, though, as short covering propped up prices with Friday being the last trading day for  May NY sugar futures.
