Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards are the latest GPUs the company offers. Though we're hearing reports that Nvidia RTX 50-series cards are arriving this year, the current generation of Nvidia's graphics cards are the most powerful the company has released yet. And even when its successor lands, the RTX 40-series should still be a viable option for those building one of the best gaming PCs.
The first batch of cards dropped in late 2022, with more affordable models released throughout 2023. The company now has the RTX 40 Super Series, which began releasing in 2024 as a refresh for the line until the RTX 50 series. Unlike the beleaguered RTX 30 series which were notoriously difficult to find (and often overpriced), snatching an RTX 40 card at retail price isn't difficult.
