It's been the year of Nvidia — the company is on pace to be the fastest growing among the Magnificent Seven in 2024. And 2025 is shaping up nicely, too.
Analysts think the AI giant will boost revenue by more than 39% in calendar 2024, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and MarketSurge. That's the No. 1 revenue growth predicted for any of the Magnificent Seven. And it's dramatically higher than the forecast average growth of the seven companies for just 16% in 2025.
"After posting better than expected (July quarter results), we come away more confident about NVDA's demand prospects," said Angelo Zino, CFRA analyst.
Sizing Up Magnificent Seven's Growth
Investors like to look at the seven megacap tech stocks in the S&P 500 as a group, but they're all in unique situations. Nvidia is clearly the one with the most mojo.
The stock alone is up more than 140% this year, blowing away the rest of the Magnificent Seven. The AI stock, which carries a 95 Composite Rating, is a growth powerhouse. Just this year, its revenue is on pace to jump 106%. That makes the rest of the seven companies look like they're standing still. Revenue is only seen rising an average of 24% this year among the seven.
And Nvidia is in a class of its own for growth next year, too. The No. 2 fastest growing Magnificent Seven stock in 2025 is Tesla. But it's a distant second. Analysts think the electric vehicle maker's revenue will only rise 16.7% in 2025.
Apple Bringing Up The Rear
Just one Magnificent Seven company's growth doesn't look so great: Apple. Shares are up north of 18% this year, much to Warren Buffett's chagrin.
But Apple's growth is anemic. Analysts only think it will boost revenue by 3.3% in calendar 2024 and 6.7% in calendar 2025.
Now it's easy to see why investors are so enthused about Nvidia. It's hard to find growth like that anywhere — even in the Mag Seven.
