The Government Lottery Office, the Australian Teachers of Dancing and the ATOD Children & Youth Development Association present a charity performance, "The Nutcracker 2022", at Chiang Mai College of Dramatic Arts Theatre in Chiang Mai, on Sunday at noon and 3.30pm.
The main cast is foreign and Thai ballet dancers -- Jetnipit Ticome, Patchisa Pakdeewong, Ramon Chuajedton, Timarin Wing Holmes, Trong Rattanadumrongaksorn -- who have received outstanding prizes from international dance competitions in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. They will be joined by Chanakarn Panpijit from Bangkok City Ballet, Sriharach Junjan from Posé Dance Studio and Chotdecha Dangchinakupt as an independent professional dancer.
Performing as support dancers will be more than 100 dance students from Chiang Mai Ballet Academy which was bestowed the Royal Award for a school of the highest standards by King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great in 2001.
Acting as artistic director for the charity performance will be ML Preeyapun Sridhavat, an Avril Binzer Memorial Award winner 2019 for Outstanding Person in Dance Education from Australia.
Tickets cost 300, 500, 800 and 1,000 baht (special group rates for students are available) and can be purchased from the ATOD Children & Youth Development Association and Chiang Mai Ballet Academy.
Proceeds will go towards the underprivileged and orphan youths in Chalermprakiet 48th Pansa School under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
