Nuclear technology company specializing in small modular reactor (SMR) systems, NuScale Power Corporation (SMR), announced the deployment of nuclear-specific artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support its engineering and knowledge-management functions. This combines its advanced nuclear expertise, Nuclearn's AtomAssist nuclear AI platform, and NPX’s nuclear project and AI implementation experience.
The company aims to advance its SMR technology through this move. In an initial proof of concept, NuScale found that designed-for-nuclear AI terminology and workflows could reduce the time required to find relevant information by as much as 80% while surfacing the most relevant engineering methods and standards.
