Nurse swiped dementia patient's bank card and withdrew £3,000 as she lay in hospital

A nurse who swindled £3,000 from a dementia patient has lost her job.

Dorothy Howell, 57, swiped the patient's bank card as they were in a hospital bed at Royal Stoke Hospital in November 2020.

The victim was an 84-year-old vulnerable woman who had been admitted following a fall.
