DENVER — The Nuggets added a second player in free agency early Friday morning, agreeing to terms with veteran wing Bruce Brown on a two-year, $13 million deal, according to a league source.
The second year of the deal is a player option, the source said.
Brown is the latest addition to Denver’s remade perimeter defensive identity, which includes the additions of two-way wing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope via trade and first-round picks Christian Braun and Peyton Watson.
The 25-year-old comes to Denver after a two-year stint with the Brooklyn Nets. Prior to joining the Nets, he spent two years with the Detroit Pistons.
The 6-foot-4 wing is known as a versatile defensive piece who shot 40% from 3-point range last year on limited attempts with the Nets. He averaged 9.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 24.6 minutes per game.
The Nuggets added DeAndre Jordan in the first day of free agent negotiations Thursday. They also re-signed forward Davon Reed to a two-year deal.
