Festival season is back and better than ever, following long breaks and delays due to coronavirus. This year has welcomed huge line-ups at some of Bristol's longstanding favourite events as well as newer festivals that promise just as much excitement.
There's an event for everyone - with music festivals, food festivals and more. And, a long-running festival an hour from the city is also back and bringing something a little bit different.
Since its inception in 2007 as a small, weekend event, Nudefest has become the UK's biggest naturist festival. It attracts hundreds of people to Somerset each year for a week of full-on fun among like-minded people.

This year it has announced its return from July 4 to July 10 at Thorney Lakes Caravan and Camping Park, Langport; only an hour from Bristol. And the schedule looks absolutely jam packed.
Nudefest is promising live music acts and entertainment, home-grown music at the 'Magic Teapot' and karaoke. As well as this visitors can enjoy a circus show as well as health and wellbeing sessions including meditation, massage, yoga, fitness and aerobics classes, and sauna.
Also on offer will be sports, crafts, workshops, presentations, demonstrations and talks on a wide variety of topics. A visit to the Cider Brandy Farm will also be on the cards.
And of course, no nude fest would be complete with body-painting. Topping the eventful weekend will be a nude slip ’n’ slide which is sure to be an experience like none other.
British Naturism events manager and Nudefest organiser Mark Walsh said: "Nudefest is an important part of the year for so many Naturists. There is so much to do and see, but the real highlight for me is bringing the community together.
"People from all over the UK converge in Somerset for a week, meet old faces and form new friendships, all in an incredible body-positive setting. British Naturism national spokesman Andrew Welch added: "Participation in Naturism in the UK is on the rise like never before, with people now realising that Victorian attitudes to simple human nudity are completely outdated.
"We’re all the same underneath and it’s liberating to discover that there is no such thing as the perfect body. British Naturism has already welcomed over 500 new members in 2022 and through projects like the Great British Skinny Dip and our partnership with British Heart Foundation, we’re spreading the word far and wide about this relaxing, exhilarating - and above all, fun - way of being."
