Nude runner spotted at Cardiff nature reserve sparks concern from some residents

Walkers who were shocked to see a nude runner at their local nature reserve want to warn others visiting the area. The friends, who were walking their dogs, spoke to the man at Howardian Local Nature Reserve in Cardiff on Friday.

They said they spotted the man, who was not wearing any clothes, at around 4pm and went on to have a conversation with him. One of the walkers, who did not want to be named, told WalesOnline: "We were walking along a narrow path. It was narrow enough that we had to walk one behind the other. As we got to the bend in the path, we couldn't see what was round the corner and this guy came running towards. That was a bit of a shock."

She said they had a "giggle" before bumping into him again ten minutes later on another path where he sat down on a step and beckoned their dogs. She added that when they spoke to the man he described himself as a naturist. The woman said: "He has every right as I do to be walking towards whichever path he wants. The law is the law... people need to be informed."
